Ray Davies of The Kinks still regularly performs his famous pop classic Waterloo Sunset, originally released as a single in 1967, and featured on the album Something Else by The Kinks.
It has been covered by many artists but it was the version by Joe Stilgoe that really attracted me and forms the basis of this wistful solo for alto saxophone and band.
