This Masquerade

Leon Russell wrote This Masquerade in 1972. It has subsequently been covered by many artists including notably The Carpenters and George Benson.

It is a beautiful melody and perfectly suited to the singing tone and expressive power of the flugelhorn.

In this arrangement the soloist carries the melody and then plays a written-out solo but the soloist should feel free to improvise over the relevant chords if he or she possesses that ability.
