This arrangement was originally made for the RAF Massed Bands Tour 1996 although it has been regularly performed ever since.
It comprises a selection of songs from the time of the Second World War including In the Mood, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, We’re Gonna Hang Out the Washing on the Siegfried Line, Kiss Me Goodnight, Sergeant Major, Run, Rabbit, Run! and I’ll Be Seeing You.
There are also many other quotations from other songs of the time more or less hidden within the score.
The original arrangement featured vocalists but this version is purely instrumental.
