In writing Where have All the Flowers Gone Pete Seeger was influenced by a Ukraininan Folk song, the words of which appeared in a novel by Mikhail Sholokhov And Quiet Flows the Don. Seeger wrote 3 verses and the melody and two other verses were added by Joe Hickerson.
This arrangement was made for the Royal Military Tattoo 2000.
